Shi Chunmao, courtesy name Dagang and nickname Zixin, was born in 1942 in Kaohsiung, Taiwan. In his early years, he studied under Chen Zihe, Wang Beiyue, and Wu Xuehao, and studied painting from Li Shiqiao and Xi De.
He has applied for the Ministry of Education to write 《 national standard font list, China Television Education, Culture and Television Teaching 》 regular script series lectures, Taipei Elementary School Calligraphy Textbook Demonstration Video and other calligraphy textbooks, and served as a teacher’s calligraphy workshop lecture. He has served as a member of the National Compilation and Translation Center’s calligraphy textbook editorial board, chairman of the Calligraphy Education Society of the Republic of China, associate professor of the Chinese Education Department of Ming Chuan University, and is currently a professor of the Department of Calligraphy and Painting at Evergreen University, instructor of the calligraphy class at the Chiang Kai-shek Memorial Hall, and the Presidential Office. He was invited to serve as a member of the calligraphy jury for the New Taipei City Art Exhibition, Keelung City Art Exhibition, Tainan Art Exhibition, Yilan Art Exhibition, Taoyuan Art Exhibition, Hsinchu Art Exhibition, Suanxi Art Exhibition, National and Taipei Chinese Language Competition, etc., and served as a national elementary school in Taipei City. He is the instructor of calligraphy primary schools, calligraphy practice books and other teaching materials, and spares no effort in promoting calligraphy education.
His works include 《 Shi Chunmao Lin Jiucheng Palace Liquan Ming 》 (1993), 《 calligraphy textbooks and exercises 》 volumes 1 to 8 (1995), 《 Shi Chunmao Spring Couplets Anthology (1) (2) 》 (1996), 《 Shi Chunmao reads poems and writes poems in episodes 1 to 5 》 (1995-2000) 《Shi Chunmao Calligraphy Works Collection 》(1998), 《 Hui Ancient and Modern: Shi Chunmao Calligraphy Creation Exhibition Works Collection 》(2019), etc.
