“Da Gang Art House” is the study studio of Shi Chunmao, a famous domestic calligrapher. Speaking of the origin of “Dagang”, it is because Mr. Shi is from Dagang, Kaohsiung, so he directly named it “Dagang”.

“Da Gang Art House” is also the starting point of Mr. Shi’s calligraphy private school. After graduating from Teachers College, Mr. Shi was assigned to teach at Dongmen Elementary School in Taipei City. While teaching at Dongmen Elementary School, Mr. Shi created the first calligraphy school in Taiwan. “Specialized calligraphy classroom” and the first “full-time calligraphy teacher” in an elementary school. Because the specialized calligraphy classroom was so successful, at that time, Japanese and Korean calligraphy groups and foreign guests who wanted to inspect children’s calligraphy education in Taiwan would visit the calligraphy classroom of Dongmen Elementary School. .
